I’ve gone into buying this knowing that all pull starters are Chinese crap, with that said, this one sucks less than any of the others I had in the past. The teeth that engage the pull starter to the engine are metal and use metal screws to hold them in place. All of the older ones I have use plastic teeth and use push on clips to keep them from falling out. I have been hard on this thing and my only complaint is the bushing that keep’s the string from rubbing as it is coming out of the starter is getting rope burn holes in it. I’m just going to remove it and polish the metal around the hole to smooth out the surface to keep the rope from chafing.
